Jodi L. Gilbert, a 27-year-old Jamestown woman was jailed Saturday after she allegedly stapled her boyfriend’s forehead during a domestic dispute.

According to the Jamestown Police Department, officers where called to the scene of a domestic disturbance around 12:30 a.m. When they arrived, they found a man with staples embedded into his forehead.

Investigators say the victim stated that Gilbert had struck him in the head with a Stanley Hammer Tacker (carpenter stapler) several times during the argument. He was treated at a local hospital. Detectives found that Gilbert already had a previous order of protection to stay away from the male victim.

Gilbert was booked into the Jamestown City Jail and charged with aggravated criminal contempt and third-degree assault. She is awaiting arraignment.
