Suzanne Basham, a 47-year-old Missouri woman was jailed Tuesday after she allegedly called police because a crack dealer sold her sugar instead of the crack cocaine she reportedly paid for.

According to Springfield Police, officers were dispatched after Basham complained to 911 operators that she had been scammed during an alleged cocaine purchase.

When officers arrived on the scene, Basham stated that she paid $40 for crack cocaine, but was given sugar instead. Basham reportedly asked police to get her $40 back and arrest her crack dealer for “stealing.”

Officers went to the residence where Basham claimed to have made the purchase – however, residents inside the house denied selling the woman drugs and would now allow officers inside their home.

Basham was searched and found to be in possession of a crack pipe. She was booked into jail on one count of possessing drug paraphernalia.
